But last week we all joined a futsal charity based in KB.. LLRC send 3 teams:

So HOPE you guys enjoyed futsal before we start playing on the field again. 2 friendly games coming, this weekend, we will welcome Kilanas FC while next week, we will get out butts kicked by National HBT U-23 teams.. hahahaha

Congrats to players of LLRC FT for winning the match last night against Brunei Youth. Alhamdulillah, LLRC FT was able to score 3 goals.. 2 by Hj Anuar n 1 free goal haha..

Last nyte showed that with experience, LLRC FT managed to win despite Brunei Youth being young with stamina. 2nd half LLRC FT relaxed abit with the game..

Anyhow, congratulations to the players... You all are the BEST!

Sorry for the quiet blog these few weeks... have been so tied up with work and all...

Anyhow, tonight will be the 1st round for LLRC in the FA CUP.. a challenge against Brunei Youth.

Wishing LLRC FT all the success for the match... Hope u all play ur best and don't be too over-confident because U all have already beaten them once during the Premier 2 league.

Brunei Youth are young players, with full stamina.. LLRC FT played against them during a wet season.. all wet and muddy.. tonight insyaAllah, will be dry..and U can bet they will be fasttt..

So LLRC FT.. Do your best.. work as a team.. and of course WIN la...

If you win, you all will be meeting either BAB or Muara Vella on 29th March for the 2nd round..

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Ahad - Jaringan tunggal Safwan memastikan pasukan LLRC FC terus kukuh di tangga teratas Perdana II Liga Brunei DST Group pada perlawanan menarik di Kompleks Sukan Berakas, petang tadi.
"Sekalipun hanya menang satu jaringan. Ia sudah cukup untuk mengukuhkan kedudukan pasukan kita dalam Perdana II. Ia sangat berharga di kala persaingan yang semakin mencabar," jelas pengurus pasukan LLRC, Zunira Haji Abd Kamis.
Katanya, pemain melangkah berhati-hati berdepan dengan pasukan Lun Bawang yang juga berusaha mencari mata untuk memperbaiki kedudukan bagaimanapun kedua-dua pasukan bijak mengawal gawang masing-masing.
Kemenangan LLRC diperolehi menerusi sepakan penalti oleh Safwan di minit ke-19 apabila pemain lawan membuat asakan keras di dalam kotak penalti.
Zunira berharap kemenangan itu akan terus menyuntik semangat anak buahnya untuk menepati sasaran bagi melangkah ke Perdana I musim lalu sekali gus mencipta satu lagi perkembangan baik skuad berbanding penyertaan mereka musim lalu.
"Kita akan memfokuskan tahap kecergasan semua pemain bagi baki dua perlawanan akan datang. Saya yakin pemain-pemain akan berjaya mengekalkan dan seterusnya meningkatkan reputasi baik terutama dalam memantapkan lagi corak persembahan mereka," ujarnya.

Leaders LLRC FT spot on

A PENALTY taken by Safuan Juhar in the 19th minute was enough to seal the win for league leaders LLRC FT against P Lun Bawang in their DSTGroup Brunei Premier League II (BPL II) match at the Berakas Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday.

Mohd Shah Hafiz Kipli was brought down in the box and the referee did not hesitate to point to the spot.
Lun Bawang goalkeeper, Pirit Apo, dived to his left, misjudging Safuan’s spot kick which was aimed at the bottom left corner.
The coach of LLRC FT, Hj Affandi Hj Julaihi, was relieved to score the slim victory.
“It was a very tight match. We could have been two or three goals up though as we missed some good chances.
“However, we didn’t waste the penalty and we got the one goal lead which we were able to defend for the whole match.”
LLRC FT have only two matches left, against Kilanas FC and Menglait, and should be able to gain promotion into the DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I should they win one of these two matches.
They were last season beaten in the promotion race by BPL II champions AM Gunners FC.
Having learnt from that experience, the coach is not going to take any chances this season.
“Instead of trying to win only one match, we will aim for two. We’re not going to take any chance as (third place) Lun Bawang have games in hand and we don’t want to regret being overtaken by them because of goal difference,” said Hj Affandi.
It was a tightly contested affair on the field with both teams struggling to find the back of the net.
Lun Bawang found themselves caught in LLRC FT’s offside traps throughout the match while LLRC FT kept their defence tight, not allowing Lun Bawang any good shots on goal aside from corner kicks.
One of the few good chances that Lun Bawang had on goal came late in the first half. A cross from Zaimi Awat from the right found Yunus Lupat in the box. The striker outjumped everybody else but could not put enough power into his header to beat LLRC FT goalkeeper, Md Fakhrul Amin Sanif, who saved comfortably.
Md Bahrin Hj Sahari, the LLRC FT’s skipper, was unable to guide the ball into the net from a corner delivered by Md Khairul Azri Hj Bujang to extend their lead in the second half.
LLRC FT then again wasted a good chance which started when they conceded a freekick late in the match. Yunus unleashed a shot that Md Fakhrul had to parry. It led to a counter by LLRC FT with only two Lun Bawang defenders and three LLRC FT players in the box, but the delivery from the right was poor and the chance was wasted.
Lun Bawang tried hard to find the equaliser taking the last chance in the match when Zaimi Awat took a powerful shot aimed at the upper left corner from outside the box.
But Md Fakhrul was again up to the challenge stretching to save and giving LLRC FT the win as the referee blew the whistle to signal the end of the match.
Two other BPL II matches were played yesterday.
Perkasa showed their prowess by beating bottom dwellers Kota Ranger 5-1 at Balapan Track and Field.
Perkasa’s Awang Zulhirni scored a hat-trick while Md Saiful and Saifuny also got on the scoresheet with a goal each.
Md Bohari scored a penalty in the 48th minute for Ranger’s only goal.
Second place Prisons Department won 3-0 against Brunei Youth Team in the only match of the night.

MD FAKHRUL Zulhazmi Yussof yesterday became the first goalkeeper to score in a DSTGroup Brunei Premier League match, but Liang Lumut Recreation Club Football Team (LLRC FT) rained on his parade.

The ex-Majra FC shot-stopper scored Brunei Youth's (Under-16) only goal in their 3-1 loss to BLP II league leaders LLRC FT, netting from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute after Md Taufiqillah Abd Hamid was brought down in the box by LLRC FT's goalkeeper.Though Muhd Nabil Fikri Hj Yusuf guessed correctly, the confident Md Fakhrul Zulhazmi who also took a free-kick for the team made no mistake from the spot and fired home with a powerful shot to the top right corner at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.Safuan Juhar gave promotion contenders LLRC FT the lead after only three minutes when he controlled a cross from the right and scored from inside the box.The muddy pitch made it hard for both teams to get their passing game into gear, though there was no denying that LLRC FT were in the driving seat for the whole 90 minutes playing most of the first 45 minutes inside Brunei Youth's half.Making numerous school-boy errors, Brunei Youth failed to stamp their authority in midfield and were second best in the air.Hj Annuar Hj Seidil rounded Md Fakhrul Zulhazmi five minutes from the break and could have made it 2-0 if not for the right post.Safuan restored LLRC FT's lead two minutes after the restart when he breezed past two defenders and unleashed a curling left-footed shot which beat a dumbfounded Md Fakhrul Zulhazmi at the near post the goalkeeper probably expecting a cross.Substitute Abd Rahim Sofian nearly equalised for Brunei Youth a few seconds after coming on to the pitch in the 55th minute but his shot hit the left side-netting after Muhd Nabil had saved the first attempt.Mohd Shah Hafiz Kipli could have made it 3-1 several minutes later after he nutmegged a player and completed a one-two with Md Khairul Azri Hj Bujang if not for a weak finish.LLRC FT finally got their third when Mohd Shah Hafiz received a pass from the right and shot past Md Fakhrul Zulhazmi in the 78th minute.LLRC FT's coach said he was pleased with the win, especially since they only have three games to go until the close of the season."Our players were a bit slow in the first half but in the second half I asked them to apply pressure and push Brunei Youth more," said LLRC FT's coach Hj Affandi Hj Julaihi."We have three games left and our next match is against P Lun Bawang (on Jan 24). They will be tough to beat," he concluded.The other match of the afternoon saw Menglait FC and Muara Vella FC play out a 2-2 draw at the Berakas Sports Complex.Last night's game between the Prisons Department who are second in the league with 14 points and now trail LLRC FT by five points and Perkasa was postponed due to the poor condition of the pitch at the Berakas Sports Complex.The day's only BPL I match, pitting AM Gunners FC against Brunei Shell Football Team, was also postponed due to the same reason.

'BPL needs better referees'

AHMAD SAZARIN HJ AHMAD SABLI, the assistant manager of LLRC FT, was furious with the referee who officiated at their DSTGroup Brunei Premier League II (BPL II) match against the Brunei Association of Banks (BAB) on Saturday, saying improvements must to be made.Ahmad Sazarin told the Press after the match: "I'm not quite satisfied with the refereeing. I don't think Md Bahrin (Hj Sahari) deserved the second yellow but the referee was pressured by the BAB players, so what can you do."The assistant manager was referring to the incident which occurred in the 60th minute when LLRC FT skipper, Md Bahrin Hj Sahari, challenged two BAB players for the ball.The BAB players then started to approach the referee and a mini scuffle broke out between players from both teams.Having calmed the players down, the referee consulted one of the linesmen regarding the incident and decided to award the LLRC FT captain his second yellow of the night.BAB, however, could not take advantage of their numerical superiority allowing LLRC FT to hold their defence and eventually snatch a 3-1 victory."Changes are definitely needed. We're playing in one of the major leagues in Brunei. We weren't playing in a friendly or a district league."In the match the referee was easily influenced by the players. It's like it wasn't him who was making the decisions, but the angry players who were surrounding him," said Ahmad Sazarin."Improvements need to be made regarding the referees."For the first offence, I admit that the referee was right to book him as it was a blatant obstruction."But the second is entirely a different story. I really don't think that Md Bahrin deserved it (the second yellow). The players went down too easily and started acting all hurt," said the assistant manager.Md Bahrin echoes Ahmad Sazarin's words saying the punishment he was dealt with was unjustified."It was an unfair decision and maybe the referee isn't qualified (for these type of matches). When he gave me the second booking, I was shocked."Two BAB players went down after I made the tackle and the referee decided to book me, even though I got the ball, after consulting with the linesman," said the LLRC FT captain."Improvements must be made as this wasn't the first time such a thing had occurred. Error in judgment made by the referee has cost us before, like the game against AM Gunners FC," he added.The player was talking about the DSTGroup League Cup quarter-final match last November which LLRC FT lost 2-5 to the Gunners.An incident in the 17th minute marred the League Cup match, when LLRC FT's Jasnie Juri came up with a sliding tackle on AM Gunners' Md Najib Hj Tarif.Both men were handed their marching orders after a minor scuffle; a decision which was met with derision by both set of fans.After the match, the Gunners head coach Hj Ahmad Hj Husin also commented on the referee saying: "He (Md Najib) was tackled from behind and when he got up after the injury he was given a red."It was definitely not a red, both players and managers know that. It was a decision that spoilt the game for both of us."

DOWN to 10 men in the 60th minute, LLRC FT never lifted their foot off the pedal for the Brunei Association of Banks (BAB) to take advantage of winning 3-1 as the DSTGroup Brunei Premier League II (BPL II) continued last night at the Berakas Sports Complex.Though LLRC FT dominated for most of the match, it took them 33 minutes to score the first goal.It occurred when LLRC FT went on the counter with Safuan Juhar slicing a low cross from the right which Hj Annuar Hj Seidil put into the back of the net past BAB goalkeeper, Mohd Nazib Nasrudin.BAB were slow to recover from the goal and LLRC FT took advantage of it three minutes later.No BAB players bothered to pressure Ak Md Azrul Ariffin Pg Matussin, who had the ball. Spotting Md Azri Jebri on the run, Md Azrul delivered a pinpoint low cross which Md Azri pounced on with a diving header, securing the second goal of the night.That was the wake up call that BAB needed.From a corner, the tall Ak Md Khairol Anwar Pg Hj Md Salleh towered over the LLRC FT defence and headed the ball into the net.The spurt of energy that came with the goal was short-lived as LLRC FT continued to pour forward with relentless energy but had to be content with the one goal lead as the referee blew the whistle to mark the end of the first half.It didn't take long for Md Azrul to deliver his second assist of the night. Four minutes into the second half, he delivered a cross for Md Azri to head into the top corner, scoring his second of the night.BAB players were starting to show frustration, but were gifted a lifeline in the 60th minute when LLRC FT skipper, Md Bahrin Hj Sahari, fouled BAB's Md Zahirudin Abd Morad.It was Md Bahrin's second bookable offence and the referee gave him his marching orders.
Though they were down to 10 men LLRC FT did not change their strategy and kept up the pressure.BAB could not find a way to crack LLRC FT's defence line while LLRC FT kept using the speed and trickery of their wingers to split BAB defence open.The second half ended with a freekick taken by BAB's Md Shahrulazzi Hj Awg Lamat, which went well over the bar, failing to trouble LLRC FT goalkeeper, Mohd Haffizan Zainal."The game was okay as we were in control for most of the time," said Ahmad Sazarin Hj Ahmad Sabli, the assistant manager of LLRC FT."I'm not quite satisfied with the refereeing though. I don't think Md Bahrin deserved the second yellow but the referee was pressured by the BAB players, so what can you do."The important thing is we got the three points," he added.The other game of the night saw the Prisons Department pummelling DST Group FC 6-1 at the Balapan Track and Field in Berakas.Md Abu Bakar scored a hat-trick for the Prisons Department while Md Sufrizan, Ampuan Md Endy and Atifuddin scored one each to seal the game for the jailers.Ak Md Abd Halim scored DST's lone goal in the 59th minute.

BRUNEI YOUTH 1 - 3 LLRC FT

Well, another victory for LLRC FT in winning the match against Brunei Youth Team yesterday. The weather was raining and the field was wet but the team proved they could do their best no matter what.

In the first half, goal was scored by Bibi and in the second half 1 goal by Bibi and 1 goal from Hapidz.

Congratulation to the team for a challenging game especially during the second half. It was fun to watch from the grandstand. Well Done TEAM!
